Our story started in 1991 when D'Arcy, then a teenager, landed a job as a dishwasher at the esteemed Sooke Harbour House in BC, Canada, where Peter served as a chef. Despite their age gap, they became fast friends and ultimately Peter would influence D’Arcy to become a chef, a dream he would later fulfill. 

Fast forward to today…

Now, both accomplished chefs based in Canada, Peter and D’Arcy maintain their friendship while sharing their love of dogs. One night back in October of 2023, while hanging out, they got on the topic of dog food (as two chefs would). As dog owners themselves, they voiced their frustration with the ingredients found in many current dog food products. They realized that dogs don’t have a voice and us pet owners need to be that voice for them. 

That evening sparked numerous weeks of ongoing discussions before they finally decided to join forces and create BellaChow Pet Nutrition, a nutrient rich and delicious once a day Superfood Gravy with simple and clean ingredients for your dog. 

The goal is simple: to make sure every dog’s voice is heard by creating more transparency in the dog food industry. 

And so, with sleeves rolled up and aprons tied tight, we get to work.
